UMODZI Consulting was engaged to conduct training with Chididi Fruit Juice Cooperative. The training mainly focused on entrepreneurship skills, business plan development and business management. Furthermore, UMODZI consulting played the role of coaching and mentorship to help the club implement some of the objectives as outlined in their business plan.

The training helped Chididi Fruit Juice Cooperative members develop a business plan in which they were able to formulate objectives and come up with action plans to guide them in their operations towards their vision of becoming a prominent producer of fruit juice in Nsanje. Currently, they are able to keep records properly and they also have a vibrant leadership structure upon receiving lessons on effective leadership and group dynamics skills acquisition. Coaching and mentorship by UMODZI Consulting also provided a forum for on spot advisory services, which was instrumental in achievement of some short-term objectives.

Business Benefits and Results

The Business Plan development helped to address key issues that needed attention such as proper record keeping and accounting for monitoring the progress of their business. The group has managed to fix a refrigerator, which was not functioning and have opened an out let shop at Nsanje Boma which poses a good market for their juice consequently enhancing production.
